Precise scan locations
Ask scanners to share their exact position, with their consent, and see it as pins on the map.
By default analytics place a scan at city level, from the network connection. For codes on street furniture, in stores or at events you can ask for more.
Turn on Capture precise scan locations in the code's Tracking & Advanced settings. From then on a scan shows a short page before the destination:
Share your location? The creator of this code would like to see where it's scanned. Sharing is optional, you'll reach the destination either way.
Share location sends the phone's coordinates with the scan; Continue without sharing goes straight through. Either way the visitor reaches the destination. Scans from vCard destinations skip the question, and crawlers never see it.
Shared positions appear as exact pins on Scans by Location, next to the city-level circles, with their accuracy radius. Positions are used only for that code's analytics.
