Plans and limits
What each plan includes, rendered from the same limits the product enforces.
KuikCode has four plans: Basic, Core, PRO and Business, plus Enterprise by quote. Every plan redirects every scan; history, KuikPages, branding and integrations grow with the tier. The table below is generated from the plan definitions in the code, so it is always the current truth.

The comparison in the app
The 14-day trial
Every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial, with no card needed. The trial has PRO features with room for 25 KuikCodes, 2 seats and 3 hosted sites, and a small taste of the AI features: 3 AI background removals and 2 header photo depth maps. Bulk create, API keys and the MCP server unlock once you choose a plan. A banner in the dashboard counts down the days left, and you get an email two days before the end. Until you make your first KuikCode, KuikPage or hosted site, a short getting-started tip also arrives on days 2, 5 and 10; those are tips, so you can turn them off.
When a trial or plan ends
If the trial ends without a plan, or a paid plan ends unpaid, the workspace is paused:
- Your KuikCodes show a neutral "temporarily unavailable" page instead of your destination: no ads and none of your content, just a short note that the code is paused and a small KuikCode mark.
- KuikPages and hosted sites go offline.
- The dashboard stays open, so you can choose a plan or export your data. Every scan of a paused code emails the owner, at most once a day.
Choosing a plan turns everything back on within a minute. A paused workspace keeps its codes, pages, sites and files for 60 days, with reminder emails at 30 and 53 days. After that they are deleted for good; your account stays.
While Polar retries a failed payment, your codes keep working and the dashboard asks you to update the payment method.
Founding workspaces
Workspaces that built at least one KuikCode or KuikPage before plans went live on October 6, 2026 get 20% off any paid plan for as long as that subscription stays active. The discount is applied automatically at checkout, and the plans page shows the founding price. Until November 5, 2026 (30 days after plans went live), founding workspaces keep working on founding access (most PRO features, with the trial's small AI allowance) without paying; after that they need a plan like everyone else.
Enterprise
Custom code volumes, more seats and workspaces, SAML single sign-on, white-label scan pages and a priority SLA (99.99% monthly uptime for scans and a reply to urgent issues within one business day) are arranged per agreement. Choose Get a quote on the plans page in the dashboard and tell us what you need; we reply within one business day.
How limits behave
- Active codes counts codes that are not archived. Archive a code you no longer print to free its slot; archived codes stop redirecting.
- Unlimited means no ceiling on that plan. Fair-use terms still apply.
- Scans are unlimited on every plan. No plan stops a code for being scanned too often.
- Bulk create creates up to the batch size in one CSV upload; a batch also has to fit under the plan's code ceiling.
- AI generated images are pictures made from a description through the MCP server or the API. They reset on the first of each month (UTC); a prompt the safety filter blocks still counts.
- API requests are per key and per minute; writes draw from a budget a third the size of reads. See Rate limits.
Changing plans
Smart Rules and Geolocation can be tried on any plan: the editor lets you build the rules, and saving the KuikCode asks for PRO or lets you discard them. Your work is kept while you check out, and the editor opens with it afterwards.
Plan changes apply to the whole workspace at once. A workspace without a plan chooses one at checkout; a paused workspace's codes start redirecting again within a minute.
A workspace that already pays switches from the plans page: choose Switch to on another plan, or Switch to monthly or Switch to yearly on your own. Owners and admins can switch plans.
- A higher plan starts right away. The prorated difference for the rest of the current billing period is charged that day to the payment method on file, and the new limits and features unlock immediately.
- A lower plan, or a move between monthly and yearly billing, starts at your next renewal. Nothing is charged when you switch, and you keep your current plan until then. Choosing a higher plan in the meantime replaces the scheduled change.
- When a lower plan starts, nothing is deleted. The newest KuikCodes over its ceiling are archived (the oldest stay live, since they are the most likely to be in print), extra KuikPages go back to draft and extra hosted sites go offline. Moving up again brings pages and sites back on their own; unarchive codes from the library. Features the new plan lacks (webhooks, API keys, custom domains) stop working rather than staying on quietly.
- A plan set to end can't be switched. Resume it first with Manage billing in Settings.
