GS1 Digital Link

One code for the till and the phone

A GS1 Digital Link KuikCode carries the product's GTIN for retail scanners and opens a web page on phones, built to the GS1 standard.

Retail is moving from the EAN barcode to a single QR code on the pack that both rings up at the point of sale and opens content for shoppers, a transition GS1 calls Sunrise 2027. A GS1 Digital Link KuikCode is that code: its URL follows the GS1 Digital Link syntax, so a POS scanner reads the GTIN straight out of it, while a phone lands wherever you decide, and you can change that destination without reprinting the pack.

  • 01 is the GTIN, the primary key. 10 batch or lot, 21 serial and 22 consumer product variant are path qualifiers; every other attribute (expiry 17, packaging date 13, count 30, origin 422...) travels as a query parameter.
  • The code is printed on your workspace's GS1 host, never on the shared kuikco.de/p/ link, because GS1 resolvers are addressed by domain. An included machine host is minted for you; a branded subdomain puts your name on it.
  • Phones can land on a website, a KuikPage, a hosted site, a PDF, an image, or Smart Rules for per-market routing.

GS1 Digital Link is included with the Business plan.
