Naming, filing and downloading
Step 3 names the code, chooses the scan link it will be printed with, files it, and downloads the artwork.
Name
Name is required and is how the code appears in your library, in analytics and in reports. Up to 120 characters.
Scan link
The Scan link is the address encoded into the artwork. By default it is the shared kuikco.de/p/... link; workspaces on Starter and up can pick their branded subdomain, and PRO and Business workspaces a custom domain, see Branded scan links. It is chosen once, at save, because it gets printed. Changing it on an existing code only affects artwork you download from then on; old prints keep working.
Template, folder, tags
- Save as template keeps this design for future codes.
- Folder files the code; create a new folder inline. Folders nest.
- Tags label it for filtering in the library and analytics. Up to 20 tags per code.
Below these sits Tracking & Advanced settings, covered on its own page.
Download
The main button reads Create and download for a new code and Save & download for an existing one. Pick the format next to it:
| Format | Best for |
|---|---|
| PNG | Print and digital, recommended |
| JPG | Small files, no transparency |
| SVG | Vector at any size, for designers and printers |
| Documents and email |
Artwork renders at 2000 pixels. For a transparent background choose Transparent in the Background section. The same artwork is available programmatically through the API's image endpoint.
From the library
Every code's page offers Move to folder, View analytics, duplicate, rename, archive and delete. Duplicating copies the design and destination into a new code with its own scan link.
